Aderyn Strimble always knew he was different, he was much shorter than his elven family, and definately less graceful. One night he heres in on a conversation and learns that he was found by a elven hunter in the forest, and raised with them. When he was found, he wore no clothes and had a strange key hanging around a chain in his neck. He also learns he is allergic to magic. Aderyn runs from Albavion with only his clothing and the key he wore around his neck the night he was found. It is shaped like a skeleton, the handle the skull and the ridges its ribs. He soons discovers it is much more dangerous than it seems, and that in the wrong hands his world could disappear in a blink. Can Aderyn save magic before his allergies take over?
i definately think this is a good concept...i also like how your character is allergic to magic. I once sat in a seminar where Garth Nix spoke (wrote Sabrial, Seventh Tower and the Keys to the Kingdom Series) and he said all characters should have some sort of weakness, otherwise the story is bland. I like it. I would read a book with a plot like this.
